The city of Viana do Castelo is great for those who like to walk or bike. If you are willing to take advantage of one of the best views you can ever see in the Santa Luzia dyke, you can choose to climb the 659 steps of the staircase or use the Funicular de Santa Luzia on a trip of about 7 minutes (the ticket is purchased on the spot)

The train station is at the top of the main avenue of the city of Viana do Castelo. It serves the connections between Vigo (Spain), as well as Braga, Porto, Lisbon.
Beginning in May and finishing on the last day of October, the river route uses the Lima River to connect the city center, to Cabedelo beach.
